I’ve been a journalist for more than 40 years, held staff jobs at Parents, Beliefnet, and Mademoiselle, edited books, and freelanced and consulted for many publications. My focus has been on families and social issues, often the intersection between the two. I’ve reported on parenting, relationships, careers, health, religion, women’s issues, and aging well. I feel privileged to be in a profession where I can connect with people, learn their stories, and ask the question that has guided my work: How do you live a meaningful life?
